Night in Vegas
I flew to Denver first and then on to Vegas. Eric and the dogs picked me up and we went to the crummy Thousand Trails of Vegas. It was like a parking lot. My plane didn’t get in until 10 Vegas time. This was midnight my time.
Saturday March 27th
Lake Havasu
We woke up early and went straight to Lake Havasu. We were there too early for check in. We ate breakfast at a terrible place. (half hour before waitress brought waters or coffee. Another hour before we were fed. I do not suggest “Sam’s place to eat breakfast at all” We walked on beach and saw car show. We went for a drive south. We drove over the dam and then went to a lookout place. We chatted with a fun couple. They did a lot of traveling also and we learned a lot.

We went out to eat for dinner. This time had a nice waiter. Lake Havasu has such an awesome beach area. Everyone is out and about. There was no mask wearing here. Such a relaxing relief.

Sunday March 28th/ Mesquite/ Libertysville
We went out to Rusty’s in Lake Havasu. This was a better breakfast. We found the best best best boon-docking site in BLM area. We are literally on a cliff. The Virgin river is down below us. We like the tiny town of “Scenic AZ“. This site was the first anxiety I felt on the trip. I know I am safe on the cliff but I have to admit the height is terrifying. 🙂 Eric made us Elk burgers, brussel sprouts and potatoes.

Monday March 29th
Eric worked in the morning. I went for a walk on the A-tv path that goes down mountain. I could not get all the way down to the river. There was a spot I could go but I don’t think I would have made it back up. It was a good relaxing walk though with nice views. Later on in the day we drove through Scenic, AZ. We also visited Mesquite and got diesel. We then went to St. George because I wanted to see it again. We ate at a buffet for lunch. We were stuffed. We had leftovers for dinner because the winds were increasing.
Tuesday March 30th
Eric worked in the morning. We left the wonderful campsite and drove to the next. We went north and passed St. George and then to Cedar City. Before Cedar city we saw a community out in the dessert. Each house had a lot of land. Cedar City has more trees. We ate at The All American Diner in Cedar city. We then kept driving (the scenic way) and found a boon-docking site amongst the red rock. It is cold here but beautiful. We ate spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and went to bed early.

Wednesday March 31st
We went forth to Lake Powell. Here I did some laundry. The laundromat was where all of the workers were for the Lake. We ate shrimp and fish. Wood here was 11.75 a stack. Holy cow. This was huge. The campsite here was set up so nicely. We are hoping to do a house boat trip down Lake powell in the future.

Off to Moab we go. We boondocked in the dessert. It was amazing here. so many boondockers scatterered all around. I called and found out about atving in the park. Apparently there is not atving in Arches national park but it is in canyonlands and sandbliss. We are going in the morning tomorrow.
Friday April 2nd
This was the most amazing day ever. We first started out on our atv adventure on Finns and Things. Something happened to the polaris turbo on the way up the rocks. It backfired and was like it was not pulling us up. This was not a very hard spot. We had to call the renting place and they replaced with a Kawasaki. We then started Hell’s Revenge. Most of the trail was just hard but there were spots that were so out of our comfort zone. The worst was the last 50 degree angled hill where ERic could not see over the cliff. He had the trust the path and the arrows saying “go through here”. It was terrifying. Needless to say…I got three t-shirts bragging about this event.

Later on we drove through CAnyonlands and beyond. This was scarier to me than atving on cliffs. It was so overwhelming. I ruined Eric’s time because my anxiety hit the roof. Too much adrenaline in one day. I am definitely not an adrenaline junkie.
Saturday April 3rd
This morning we went to arches National Park. It was beautiful but not like yesterday. We went to April 4th, 2021 EASTER SUNDAY Salt Lake City: I was dropped off at the airport around 6:15. Eric started for home and drove the whole day until 1am at night. He is Bridgeton Bound.
